Highway Study for Lincolnshire Lakes and Scunthorpe

This contract involves conducting a comprehensive highways study to evaluate the impact of the Lincolnshire Lakes development and the proposed employment area near Gallagher Retail Park on the local highway network. The study will identify necessary infrastructure improvements, including when and where they are needed, and provide cost estimates for these enhancements. Key tasks include: 1. Assessing the impact of the development on key junctions. 2. Suggesting improvements for specific junctions with indicative costings. 3. Providing designs and cost estimates for the M181/A1077 (M) to support its de-trunking and declassification. 4. Reviewing the design of a new roundabout on the B1450 to improve access to Villages 2 and 3. 5. Analyzing the impact of connections to the M181/A1077 (M) on existing traffic flows. 6. Conducting junction capacity assessments in Scunthorpe and identifying necessary mitigation measures. 7. Evaluating the impact of two potential housing developments on the highway network and proposing mitigation strategies. The study will be conducted in two phases, each with two sub-phases.
