Medite Europe DAC, a production facility in Clonmel, County Tipperary, Ireland, is seeking qualified shunting and freight transport service providers. The successful contractor will be responsible for moving MDF packs from the production site to warehouse locations within the Clonmel and South Tipperary region (1-50km radius), operating six days per week. Key requirements include: provision of a dedicated 44-tonne articulated tractor unit and two 13.3-tonne curtain-sided trailers with headboards; fully certified drivers with CPC and warehouse/port operations knowledge; experienced on-site labour for coupling, decoupling, and securing loads using certified ratchet straps; compliance with Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005; demonstration of backup equipment capability; and a sustainable solution that reduces Scope 3 carbon emissions. The service involves approximately 15-20 shunts daily (3,500-4,500 loads annually), with occasional Sunday and bank holiday work requiring separate pricing.
