    Brief

The UK Government's Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transitions (UK PACT) programme is seeking quotes from qualified suppliers or groups to create and manage a technical assistance facility in Mexico. This initiative aims to broaden the agricultural capabilities of the 'No Deforestation' platform by incorporating and validating georeferenced data from producer registries. Additionally, the project will develop a comprehensive mechanism for resolving disputes to address user concerns and improve the platform's credibility. Key technical challenges include: • Differentiating various land uses, such as agroforestry crops. • Tracking increases in shrub and tree cover due to revegetation or reforestation on cultivated or grazed lands. • Ensuring compatibility with other agricultural applications and institutional systems. The project seeks to enhance land use traceability and establish a formal dispute resolution process, contributing to the reduction of deforestation and greenhouse gas emissions in the Agriculture, Forestry, and Other Land Use (AFOLU) sector. These efforts will be supported by transparent, data-driven governance frameworks that facilitate evidence-based decision-making. Interested suppliers should review the documentation provided in this notice and submit their applications to: expertdeployments@ukpact.co.uk.
