    Brief

Future Mobility Campus Ireland (FMCI) seeks a complete Drive-by-Wire (DBW) system for autonomous vehicle research. The successful supplier will provide a DBW solution compatible with a right-hand-drive, battery-electric vehicle platform suitable for Irish roads. The system must enable electronic control of steering, propulsion, braking, gear selection, and direction indicators while maintaining safe manual-driver override and emergency-stop functionality. Key requirements include: compatibility with NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Orin platform running ROS 2 and Autoware software; low-speed remote operator control capability; documented ROS 2 interface for vehicle control integration; installation and commissioning support; objective functional and software-interface testing; and long-term operation without undisclosed mandatory subscriptions or proprietary dependencies. The supplier will nominate a suitable production vehicle platform available through Irish dealerships, which FMCI will procure separately. International suppliers are eligible, subject to Irish and EU regulatory compliance. This is a comprehensive engagement encompassing system design, integration, testing, training, and post-deployment support to establish a fully operational autonomous driving research testbed.
