    Brief

Future Mobility Campus Ireland (FMCI) seeks a qualified supplier to provide a complete Drive-by-Wire (DBW) system for an autonomous vehicle research platform. The solution must enable electronic control of steering, propulsion, braking, gear selection, and direction indicators on a right-hand-drive battery-electric vehicle while maintaining safe manual-driver override and emergency-stop capabilities. The DBW system must integrate with FMCI's NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Orin platform using ROS 2 and support the Autoware autonomous driving stack. Key requirements include: selection of a road-legal, production battery-electric vehicle compatible with the proposed DBW solution and readily available through Irish dealerships; controlled low-speed remote operation; fail-safe architecture; ROS 2 interface documentation and deployment on ARM64 architecture; comprehensive installation, commissioning, and acceptance testing; and ongoing operation and maintenance without undisclosed mandatory subscriptions or proprietary dependencies. The supplier will nominate the vehicle platform, manage system integration and testing, and provide training and support. International suppliers are eligible subject to Irish and EU regulatory requirements. FMCI will procure the vehicle separately following contract award and will perform final mapping between the supplier's ROS 2 interface and Autoware internally.
