General Construction Works Framework Agreement

This is a 3-year framework agreement (with optional 4-year extension in 12-month increments, up to 7 years maximum) to supply a wide range of construction services. The framework aims to provide multiple pre-vetted, competent suppliers for construction projects including underground/sub-surface work near operational railways. Services covered include: gas and electrical utilities, mechanical works, general construction and demolition, high/low voltage systems, civil engineering (excavation, backfill, reinstatement), communications systems, HVAC, station infrastructure, landscaping, and fire safety requirements. The framework is divided into three value-based lots, with Lot 1 (£100,000-£1.5M) restricted to SMEs only: • Lot 1: £100,000 - £1.5 Million (SMEs only) • Lot 2: £1.2 Million - £3 Million • Lot 3: Over £2.5 Million Key benefits include streamlined procurement through direct awards (up to threshold values), quotes, and mini-competitions; pre-vetted suppliers ensuring compliance and quality assurance; enhanced safety and sustainability standards; and efficient project delivery with minimal procurement delays. The zero-value contract structure allows flexibility to cover diverse construction works while promoting best value through supplier competition.
