Digital Project Management Office Platform for Infrastructure Delivery

National Grid is seeking an integrated digital Project Management Office (IPMO) solution to consolidate and manage its portfolio of major transmission infrastructure projects across onshore and offshore programmes. The solution will provide a unified view of project and portfolio performance across cost, schedule, risk, commercial management, change management and baseline control. This initial deployment will support the Onshore GGP programme with potential expansion to additional programmes. The platform must integrate project controls activities including baseline management, change control, forecasting, contingency planning, cost management and payment processing. Required capabilities include auditable workflows, role-based access controls, portfolio-level reporting and alignment between cost and schedule data through standardised project control structures. The solution must integrate with National Grid's existing business systems while ensuring data ownership and security. Key requirements include support for multi-currency transactions, metadata management, historical data retention and role-based access management. The platform should be scalable and flexible, supporting current needs while providing a foundation for future enhancements in reporting and analytics as business requirements evolve and adoption increases across multiple delivery programmes and partners.
