HM Prisons and Probation Service (HMPPS) is seeking registered forensic psychologists with at least 2 years post-qualification experience to provide psychology report services for offenders. This multi-supplier framework contract will operate for 5 years and deliver services nationally across HMPPS public sector settings, primarily prisons, and occasionally in non-HMPPS sites including Northern Ireland and Scotland. Required services include: (a) Psychology Risk Assessments (PRAs), (b) Responsivity and Suitability Assessments, and (c) Case Reviews. Services will be commissioned on both regular and ad-hoc bases to supplement internal HMPPS staff capacity. All reports must meet quality standards set by relevant processes (such as Parole Board and MAPPA requirements) and comply with HMPPS policies and frameworks. Service volumes will vary and historical figures provided are for indication only—no guaranteed volumes are offered. The Psychology Services Group provides evidence-based psychological and therapeutic services across the justice system to reduce offender risk and reoffending, supporting safer prisons and effective probation services.
