    Brief

    The National Library of Scotland seeks a qualified supplier to provide, install, and maintain a professional film scanner system capable of digitising films in multiple formats (16mm, standard 8mm, super 8mm, 9.5mm, with optional 35mm capability). The system must handle fragile and damaged film stock gently, including warped, brittle, or perforated materials. Key requirements include synchronisation of optical and magnetic sound with film content, comprehensive software and hardware support, and operation at the Library's Kelvin Hall facility in Glasgow.
