Controlled Area Initial Decommissioning Operations Support - Lot 1B

This is a long-term operational support contract for initial decommissioning activities within a controlled (hazardous) facility. The successful contractor will provide up to 30 full-time equivalent staff to support waste removal, packaging, size reduction, and deplanting operations. Work will be located in existing and future controlled area buildings, with tasks evolving in complexity as the capability matures. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing temporary works (scaffolding, access systems, lifting plans), ensuring safe work sequences, and coordinating with the client's engineering teams. All temporary works designs must be submitted to the Project Manager for approval before installation. The role requires a suitably qualified and experienced workforce with prior knowledge of hazardous facilities operations. This contract represents a 24-month engagement commencing after March 31, 2027, following an initial concept-proving phase. Delivery occurs within a live operational environment where scope may change based on emerging requirements and value-for-money considerations. CDM 2015 construction safety regulations apply.
