    Brief

Royal Navy Museums is seeking broadband and wide area network services to connect multiple museum sites across the organization. The organization currently operates an MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching) network connecting all sites through a single supplier, with centralized IT infrastructure and services at the Portsmouth headquarters. Each site is equipped with Juniper routers (SRX300/SRX340) managed by the current ISP, backup redundant connections, and access to a cloud firewall with centralized internet breakout. The network supports multiple VLANs across sites and serves 6 separate on-site businesses plus the Museum, each requiring individual public IP addresses. This procurement is split into two separate lots: one for MPLS solutions and one for SD-WAN solutions. The Museum has operated successfully on MPLS for several years but wishes to evaluate SD-WAN as a potential alternative to assess benefits, cost savings, and suitability for the next 3-5 years. Suppliers are encouraged to respond to both lots to enable informed comparison, though single-lot submissions are welcomed. Only one lot will be awarded following evaluation. All sites should ideally be managed under a single contract. The scope excludes internal site networking and offsite datacentre connectivity. Cost proposals must include installation and equipment costs, with service billing start dates clearly indicated.
