    Brief

    The Department for Education (DfE) is seeking a subject matter expert to advise on the structural and fire safety performance of 2D panelised modern methods of construction (MMC). The role involves researching whether existing standards, guidance, and best practice for traditional construction need to be adapted for 2D panelised methods. Key responsibilities include: - Researching and reviewing information on recent UK applications of 2D panel systems in low to medium-rise buildings - Conducting site visits to active construction projects and completed buildings using this method - Engaging with major contractors who supply and construct using 2D panelised systems - Providing expert analysis and recommendations This opportunity will be commissioned through the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) RM6242 Construction Professional Services Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS). To be eligible, suppliers must be registered on the RM6242 DPS with appropriate service filters selected at least 48 hours before procurement launch.
