Design and Build Contractor for Asbestos Roof Removal and Renewable Energy Installation at Athy Rugby Club

Athy Rugby Club is seeking a qualified Design and Build Contractor to manage a comprehensive facility upgrade project. The scope includes: (1) Safe removal and lawful disposal of approximately 830 m² of asbestos-containing roof materials, gutters, and downpipes with full compliance documentation; (2) Installation of a new insulated composite roof system with a minimum 50-year design life and associated gutters and downpipes; (3) Design, supply, installation, commissioning and ongoing support of a Solar PV Array, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), and Smart Energy Control System. The Smart Energy Control System will optimize energy generation, storage and consumption, integrate with the existing generator, manage battery charging and discharge, support floodlighting operations, and include a secure web-based monitoring platform with smartphone application. A mandatory pre-tender site inspection and measurement survey is required. Tenderers must conduct their own measurements as no adjustment to the Contract Sum will be permitted for quantity differences. The contractor will be fully responsible for all asbestos compliance, handling, transportation, and disposal certification. This project is part-funded through the LEADER Programme.
