Roof Replacement, Solar Installation and Energy Storage System for Athy Rugby Club

Athy Rugby Club is seeking a qualified Design and Build Contractor to deliver a comprehensive facilities upgrade project. The work includes: (1) Safe removal and lawful disposal of approximately 830 m² of asbestos roof materials, gutters and downpipes, with full compliance documentation; (2) Installation of a new insulated composite roof system with a minimum 50-year design life and new gutters/downpipes; (3) Design, supply, installation and commissioning of a Solar PV Array to generate renewable energy; (4) Installation of a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) to store excess energy for later use; (5) Deployment of a Smart Energy Control System that optimizes energy generation, storage and consumption, integrates with the existing generator, manages battery charging/discharge, supports floodlighting loads, and provides a secure web-based monitoring platform and smartphone application. A mandatory pre-tender site inspection and measurement survey is required. Contractors must conduct their own measurements as all quantities are indicative only, and no contract adjustment will be permitted for measurement differences. The successful contractor bears full responsibility for asbestos compliance, removal, transportation, disposal and certification. This project is part-funded through the LEADER Programme.
