Health Economics Support for UKRI Dementia Challenge

UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) Health Mission is seeking health economics expertise to support its Dementia Challenge programme. The work comprises four main components: (1) Co-developing the health economic approach with UKRI and 4-8 intervention teams; (2) Implementing the approach collaboratively with delivery partners; (3) Conducting analysis and reporting at baseline, mid-point, and end-point stages; and (4) Providing call-off contract support for additional expertise as needed. Specific services include: conducting a meta-analysis of published data to estimate the health and total economic burden of dementia for the UK and devolved nations; developing appropriate health economic metrics in collaboration with the Health Mission team, innovation owners, and lead investigators; providing comprehensive health and economic analysis of real-world clinical evaluation outputs; producing an aggregated report of health economic lessons with modelling of NHS-wide adoption impact; and providing consulting services for additional work packages as agreed.
