Night Safety Marshal Scheme - Brighton

The Authority is seeking a supplier to deliver the Night Safety Marshal Scheme in Brighton from 1 April 2027 to 31 March 2028, with options to extend for two further 12-month periods. Key Requirements: - Deploy 8 Security Industry Authority (SIA) accredited and licensed Door Supervisor marshals to each identified high-harm area during peak hours (20:00-04:00), with a minimum of 2 female marshals per team - Identify and safeguard vulnerable individuals - Prevent serious violence through early intervention and threat removal in the nighttime economy areas of Brighton - Conduct directed patrols in high-harm areas as specified by Sussex Police - Report low-level public order incidents and gather criminal intelligence for Sussex Police - Provide appropriate training to all marshals, with emphasis on supporting victims and preventing violence against women and girls - Supply uniforms and equipment to marshals - Manage the scheme and provide regular management information reports to Sussex Police Note: While the successful supplier does not need to be SIA approved, all deployed marshals must hold valid SIA Door Supervisor Accreditation. A diverse workforce representative of the communities served is essential.
