    Brief

Didcot Town Council is seeking design proposals for new play equipment at Ladygrove Park, a 29-acre public green space in Didcot. The project focuses on transforming two currently underutilised landscaped mounds within the existing play area into an engaging, adventurous and inclusive play environment for children aged 5-11 years. Suppliers are invited to submit innovative design concepts incorporating features such as tunnels, bridges, slides, climbing elements, and natural play opportunities that link the mounds cohesively. The project also requires relocation of the existing multi-play unit to higher ground to prevent seasonal flooding damage. The current budget is £40,000, with anticipated increases to £100,000 pending external funding. Tenderers should clearly identify what can be delivered within the confirmed budget and what enhancements are possible with additional funding. All designs must comply with EN1176, BS7188 and EN1177 regulations. The Council prefers UK-sourced equipment to minimise replacement part delays. The project aims to modernise play provision to meet community needs and provide facilities comparable to Edmonds Park.
