Framework Agreement for Supply of Double-Deck Buses in Ireland

The Irish contracting authority is establishing framework agreements for the supply of double-deck buses to modernize public transportation. The procurement is structured into 4 separate frameworks: (1) a single-supplier and multi-supplier framework for battery-electric two-axle buses (up to 1,500 units), (2) a single-supplier framework for battery-electric three-axle buses (up to 200 units), and (3) a single-supplier framework for regional buses (up to 100 units). Eligible suppliers should manufacture or supply double-deck buses meeting the specified requirements. Each framework agreement will run for an initial 30-month period with optional extensions of up to 66 additional months. The contracting authority reserves the right to adjust quantities, extend frameworks, or decline to issue purchase orders. Suppliers interested in competing should prepare technical and commercial proposals demonstrating their capability to deliver the required bus types according to specifications.
