    Brief

Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council is seeking a qualified organisation(s) or individual(s) to deliver an 18-month language education programme promoting Irish and Ulster Scots language learning and cultural appreciation across the borough. The programme aims to reduce sectarianism and intolerance by helping residents understand and value both linguistic traditions, their cultural significance, and connections to Scotland and the Western Isles. Key requirements include recruiting a minimum of 160 participants and delivering 26+ hours of engagement per participant through: educational workshops exploring both language traditions; North/South and East/West study visits to Ireland and Scotland; 2 borough-wide language learning projects; 2 public showcase events celebrating both languages; and promotional materials supporting ongoing language use. The supplier must address knowledge gaps about both languages, build confidence among speakers, increase daily usage of both languages, and deliver comprehensive monitoring and evaluation. Monthly progress reports and presentations to the Peace Plus Department are required. Budget: €149,270. This is a re-tender opportunity.
