Design and build contract for Portballintrae Coastal Path improvements in Northern Ireland

This is a Works Contract tender for landscape architectural and civil engineering services to improve the Portballintrae Coastal Path in Bushmills, County Antrim, Northern Ireland. The project is funded by PEACEPLUS and is part of the broader Causeway Coast Way/Ulster Way network. Scope of Works: The successful contractor will design and construct improvements including: trailhead information hub at main car park, furniture and fence upgrades in lower car park, Three-Quarter Bridge repairs, raised boardwalk replacement alongside River Bush, boardwalk path repairs, waymarking and seating provision along the route, and visitor monitoring equipment installation at two locations. Key Requirements: - Full Design & Build delivery model - Contractor-designed solutions must meet minimum performance specifications for architectural, civil, and structural elements - Responsibility for obtaining all statutory approvals and associated fees - Compliance with Environmental Impact Assessment and Habitat Regulations Assessment conditions - Demonstrated experience delivering similar scale and scope works contracts - Liaison with client team for design finalization and sign-off The project is located in an area of significant natural and cultural heritage and must align with site-specific environmental and planning requirements.
