Engineering Services for 4G Synthetic Sports Surface Installation Inspection

Ballina Stephenites GAA Club in County Mayo is seeking professional engineering services to oversee the inspection, supervision, and contract administration of a synthetic sports surface installation project. The scope covers approximately 3,705 m² of fourth-generation (4G) synthetic turf. The appointed Engineer will be responsible for: reviewing and approving the contractor's proposed synthetic turf system and technical specifications; inspecting the prepared surface before installation begins; conducting periodic site inspections during all installation phases; monitoring workmanship quality and compliance with contract requirements; inspecting completed works; identifying and documenting any defects or snagging items; reviewing warranties and completion documentation; assessing payment claims and certifying Practical Completion; and preparing a comprehensive final report confirming that works have been completed in accordance with contract documents and specifications. The Engineer will provide full technical oversight and quality assurance throughout the project. The actual supply and installation of the synthetic surface will be procured separately under a dedicated works contract. This engagement covers only the professional engineering inspection, supervision, certification, and contract administration services.
