BCS RoleModel Plus Licences and Consultancy for Digital Technical Competence

Digital Technical Competence (DTC) is a newly established function within National Highways that will grow from 150 to approximately 250 digital and technology specialists over the next 24 months. To build strong foundations for this expanding team, DTC is procuring BCS RoleModel Plus services to develop and implement a structured, SFIA/SFIAplus-aligned role framework across its digital workforce. The investment of £19,690 for a 1-year term includes: deployment of the RoleModel Plus system, three user licences, and 12.5 days of expert consultancy from BCS to create, refine and finalise 25 digital and technology role profiles. This will help establish consistent role definitions, improve governance, reduce role inconsistency, and provide a sustainable approach to role creation and management within the organisation. BCS (British Computer Society) is the only UK chartered professional body for IT and is uniquely empowered to award chartered status (CITP) and formal professional registration across the digital profession. This partnership will ensure DTC's role framework aligns with industry standards and supports the professional development and recognition of its workforce.
