    Brief

This procurement covers the complete design, manufacture, fabrication, supply and delivery of a high-efficiency trash system for the Mautby Water Level Management Improvements (WLMI) project, with optional expansion to a second site at Stokesby. The system must operate efficiently across a broad range of water levels with minimal maintenance requirements. A key requirement is the provision of safe passage for eels and fish, delivering a Best Achievable Eel Protection (BAEP) solution that reduces fish mortality and injury to improve downstream passage. The contract includes design and testing services, plus provision of Health and Safety File and Operations and Maintenance File documentation. Initial site value: £175,000 (exclusive of VAT), with an optional additional site at an estimated £175,000 (exclusive of VAT). The Water Management Alliance (WMA) is overseeing this procurement on behalf of the Broads Internal Drainage Board, with Turner & Townsend providing advisory support.
