Children's Services Transition and Therapy Transformation Support

This opportunity involves leading and coordinating the transition of children's community services from Royal Berkshire Hospital to Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, with emphasis on safe mobilisation, effective governance, and active stakeholder engagement. Key responsibilities include supporting implementation of the Experts at Hand model to provide central coordination and system-wide oversight of children and young people's services across Berkshire West, including establishing core minimum data standards. You will lead the children's therapy transformation programme, developing an improved service model that enhances access, consistency and outcomes through gap analysis and service specification reviews. Working in partnership with Berkshire West Local Authority partners, you will develop integrated commissioning contracts for children and young people's therapy services and strengthen collaboration across health, education and social care sectors. The support required focuses on practical delivery rather than creating additional administrative structures. The programme is dynamic, and the distribution of effort across these priority areas can be adjusted by mutual agreement to reflect emerging needs.
