    Brief

Swale Borough Council seeks suppliers to provide and install new bus shelters throughout the Swale area. The project involves replacing existing shelters with modern anti-vandal cantilever-style units featuring galvanised steel with powder coating (colour to be confirmed). Each shelter will include a curved 3mm polycarbonate roof, 3mm steel mesh upper glazing, 3mm steel sheet lower glazing, and integrated perch seating with underground fixings. Suppliers must quote for both 2-panel and 3-panel shelter options, as requirements vary by site. The contract price must include removal and disposal of existing shelters and all necessary traffic management. Operatives must hold valid Streetworks Accreditation as all shelters are located within the public highway. Minor additional works to existing shelters may be included as required. The contract runs from 21 October 2026 to 6 January 2027, with a potential 3-month extension at the Council's discretion. The successful bidder will be selected based on the Most Advantageous Quotation. Expressions of Interest and Request for Quotation documents must be submitted via the Council's e-tendering portal by 7 September 2026 at 14:00. All enquiries and clarifications should be directed through the portal.
