Aviation-Themed Play Area Upgrade in Filton

Filton Town Council is inviting tenders from qualified suppliers to redesign, supply, and install play equipment and safety surfacing to fully redevelop the Blenheim Drive Play Area in Filton (BS34 7AX). This is the only dedicated children's play facility in Conygre Ward, serving approximately 5,000 residents and adjacent to Filton Hill Primary School. The project will transform the existing play space into a modern, inclusive, aviation-themed facility celebrating Filton's aerospace heritage and unique identity, while remaining within the existing site footprint. The contract is valued at up to £300,000 (excluding VAT) and will be funded through a Public Works Loan Board application. Work is expected to commence in January 2027, with practical completion required by 31st March 2027 and final snagging by 30th June 2027. Interested suppliers should have demonstrated experience in play area design, equipment supply, and installation of safety surfacing.
