Museum of Farnham - Operation and Management Contract

Waverley Borough Council is seeking a qualified organization to operate and manage the Museum of Farnham, a Grade I listed building with Heritage grant funding. The successful operator will manage all day-to-day operations including public access, collections management, exhibitions, educational activities, and commercial income generation. The contract includes responsibility for maintaining public accessibility, complying with heritage funding conditions, growing visitor numbers, and ensuring the museum's long-term financial sustainability. The procurement process uses a two-stage competitive flexible procedure: Stage 1 involves a Selection Questionnaire to identify suitable candidates, followed by Stage 2 where shortlisted tenderers submit detailed operational and commercial proposals. The successful tenderer will enter into a service contract with Waverley Borough Council and a separate lease for the museum premises. Draft contractual and lease documentation will be provided to shortlisted bidders.
