    Brief

Ross-on-Wye Town Council seeks an experienced organiser to manage its established Bands in the Park summer concert series for three years (1 October 2026 to 30 September 2029). The concerts run every Sunday from 2:30pm to 4:30pm at the Bandstand in Caroline Symonds Gardens, starting 16 May 2027 through 5 September, comprising approximately 19 performances across 17 weekends. The organiser must source and arrange diverse bands and musical ensembles covering traditional and non-traditional styles and mixed genres. A special 'Proms in the Park' event on 18 July 2027 (1:30pm to 7:00pm) requires three different band types including a top-section brass band. Responsibilities include all music arrangements and musician payments, event setup by 1:00pm (unlocking bandstand, arranging chairs, parking signs), traffic management in line with health and safety regulations, and post-event breakdown and security. The Town Council will provide chairs, handle advertising, arrange refreshments, and coordinate charity collections. Applicants should submit an expression of interest with an annual quote covering all costs.
