Young People's Mental Health Digital Support Service Contract - NHS Somerset

NHS Somerset Integrated Care Board is seeking to award a time-limited direct award contract for a Young People's Mental Health Digital Support Service from 1st January 2027 to 31st March 2027. This contract is valued at £49,157.18 and provides digital mental health support to children and young people, offering a low-threshold, accessible alternative to traditional face-to-face services, which is particularly important in rural areas. The current contract ends on 31st December 2026. This direct award will maintain continuity of service while allowing NHS Somerset to engage with young people to understand their needs and preferences. Following this engagement period, a competitive procurement will be launched for a refreshed, co-produced service model that better reflects what children and young people value. Expected outcomes include uninterrupted access to digital mental health support, improved understanding of young people's needs, a clearer service specification informed by lived experience, better alignment with schools, mental health support teams (MHSTs), CAMHS and voluntary sector services, and reduced commissioning risk through co-production. This notice marks the start of the standstill period. Providers wishing to make representations must contact decision makers by midnight on 18th June 2026. The contract is being managed by NHS Somerset Integrated Care Board, supported by NHS South Central and West Commissioning Support Unit.
