    Brief

Medway Council seeks a service provider to deliver advocacy support to families with children in or at risk of entering the care system. The service will work collaboratively across agencies to help families build emotional resilience, increase confidence in accessing support, and create conditions where children can safely remain with their families. The advocacy service will address multiple barriers including mental and physical health issues, trauma, learning disabilities, domestic violence, substance misuse, housing insecurity, and financial hardship. Services will be holistic and tailored to each family's circumstances. Support will be provided to families before legal proceedings commence and to those who have already had children removed. The service will work with both parents jointly and separately, as well as single parents, following referrals from the Medway Family Partnership Coordinator. Providers should demonstrate experience in family advocacy, trauma-informed practice, multi-disciplinary collaboration, and supporting vulnerable families facing child welfare intervention.
