H3AT Control Room Design and Development

This project requires the design and development of a dedicated Control Room to support H3AT operations. The successful contractor will conduct a comprehensive survey of the existing facility and deliver a complete design solution that prioritizes operator safety, efficiency, and accessibility. Key responsibilities include: conducting detailed site surveys and infrastructure assessments; developing multiple layout options with a final recommended design; performing Human Factors and Ergonomics evaluations; assessing and specifying modifications to electrical, lighting, HVAC, and acoustic systems; and designing a custom furniture package comprising six operator workstations, one engineering workstation, one security and communications workstation, one office desk, plus seating, storage, and cable management systems. The operator and engineering workstations must be purpose-built control room consoles rather than standard office furniture. Deliverables include survey reports, layout options, general arrangement drawings, Human Factors assessments, furniture schedules with datasheets, systems assessment reports, compliance documentation, and SAT (Site Acceptance Test) records. Prospective suppliers should demonstrate experience in control room design, human factors engineering, and bespoke workstation development.
