Brief

The Gambling Commission is seeking to procure a financial transactions dataset to support gambling research and regulation. We are looking for organisations that can provide large-scale, ongoing datasets of anonymised financial transactions from British adult residents. Key Requirements: - Individual transaction-level data including date, time, amount, running balance, merchant name and description - Merchant classification using Merchant Category Codes (MCC) or equivalent system - Advanced gambling transaction identification capability, either through a state-of-the-art gambling identification algorithm or willingness to share data with third-party gambling identification specialists Desirable Features: - Demographic information (age, gender) - Gambling harm measures such as the Problem Gambling Severity Index (PGSI) - Financial wellbeing indicators such as credit ratings - Unique anonymised identifiers for tracking individuals over time This pre-market engagement phase aims to understand market capability, data access models, and indicative costs. Interested suppliers are encouraged to submit an Expression of Interest.
