Statistical Quality Assurance for Active Lives Survey Data

Sport England is seeking a qualified supplier to provide statistical quality assurance services for the Active Lives Surveys (covering both adults and children/young people), which are published as Official Statistics under the Code of Practice for Statistics. Key Responsibilities: The supplier will conduct comprehensive quality assurance checks on survey analytical and published tables for each data release, including: - Verification of statistical bases and population counts - Validation of rates, shares, and means calculations - Confirmation of unweighted counts and weighted figures - Review of confidence intervals and statistical significance tests - Accuracy checks of all published tables and population estimates Deliverables: For each release, the supplier must provide: - Quality assured, error-free results tables formatted and ready for publication - Documentation of all syntax, output, and checking files used in the assurance process - Comprehensive quality assurance records evidencing all checks performed - Participation in kick-off and debrief meetings to identify improvements for future releases This role forms a critical part of Sport England's broader project plan for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of Active Lives survey publications. The successful supplier should have demonstrated expertise in statistical validation, survey data analysis, and experience working with large-scale statistical datasets.
