Brief

The Letterkenny Northern Network Project is seeking ground investigation services to support the development of a new transport link north of Letterkenny Town, Ireland. The project will create enhanced connectivity between Glencar and the Knocknamona Roundabout while reducing traffic congestion and supporting sustainable growth through active travel infrastructure for pedestrians and cyclists. The ground investigation contract requires performing multiple site investigations including rotary and core boreholes, slit trenches, trial pits, pavement cores, and dynamic cone penetrometer testing to determine subsurface conditions, soil properties, bedrock depth, existing pavement composition, and service line locations. Geophysical surveying will support buried utility detection. All works require traffic management to ensure safety on public roads. Specific work locations and requirements are detailed in the project drawings. Qualified contractors should be experienced in ground investigation methodologies, subsurface assessment, and road infrastructure projects.
