Brief

Bangor University is seeking a contractor to upgrade and modernize its Building Management System (BMS) infrastructure. The current system uses legacy Cylon UC32 controllers and gateways that are end-of-life and no longer supported. The successful contractor will design, supply, install, configure, commission, and hand over a modern BMS solution based on ABB Cylon technology to replace the existing infrastructure while maintaining continuous operations. The project includes a phased migration approach with integration of existing legacy controllers, progressive replacement of field controllers, replication of control functionality, full commissioning and testing, staff training, and system handover. The contractor must provide unit rates to support the phased delivery schedule. This modernization will enable the University to improve energy efficiency and support carbon reduction initiatives while ensuring compatibility with existing programming tools and supervisory infrastructure.
