Green Ports Initiative in Colombia

This project aims to support the transition of Colombian ports towards greener operations, focusing on reducing emissions and diversifying exports. Currently, 60% of cargo handled by Colombian ports consists of coal and fossil fuels, with over 85% transported by road. The initiative seeks suppliers to provide technical assistance in several key areas: 1) Developing recommendations to diversify exports, particularly by reducing coal exports and promoting green hydrogen and other low-carbon products. 2) Offering solutions for low- or zero-emission vessel fueling options to decrease carbon emissions in the port sector. 3) Promoting green energy generation within Colombian ports. 4) Enhancing intermodal transport connections for ports. Interested suppliers are encouraged to submit proposals, which should include the provided materials: Terms of Reference, Instructions for Submission, Terms and Conditions, RFQ Response Form, and Budget and Workplan Template. The deadline for submissions is August 15, 2025.
