Wigg Island Bird Hides and Infrastructure Improvements

This contract involves the replacement of existing timber bird hides and related infrastructure improvements at Wigg Island. The work includes the following key tasks: 1. Removing old bird hides and installing new ones. 2. Removing disused fencing throughout the site. 3. Enhancing biodiversity by cutting back overgrown vegetation along the canal edge. 4. Performing remedial work on existing hard surfaces. 5. Removing old picnic benches and bird hide screens. This project aims to improve the facilities for wildlife observation and enhance the natural environment.
