The Borough Council of Kings Lynn & West Norfolk operates approximately 1,400 CCTV cameras across Norfolk, monitored 24/7 from a control room in Kings Lynn. The Council also maintains various electronic security systems including intruder alarms, panic systems, perimeter systems, and access control systems at Council-owned facilities and third-party customer premises. Primary systems used include Avigilon, Indigovision, and Paxton platforms. The Council operates a 'Run to Fail' maintenance strategy, replacing equipment when it fails rather than conducting planned preventative maintenance. The Council is seeking a contractor to provide: 24/7/365 emergency response to reactive maintenance tasks; scheduled preventative visits as agreed with the CCTV Manager; certified installation services for Avigilon Unity Video and Indigovision systems with ability to program larger cameras and wireless equipment on-site; and collaborative planning of new installations with the CCTV Manager to ensure optimal deployment and customer satisfaction. Contractors must demonstrate extensive experience with the specified platforms and ability to install pre-programmed equipment according to the Council's established protocols.
