Construction and Surveying Services for the New Sports Hall at Söderblom-Gymnasium in Espelkamp

This project began with a design competition for the replacement of the sports hall at Söderblom-Gymnasium in Espelkamp in 2019. The winning firm, bwarchitektur from Münster, was awarded the contract for both general planning and construction management. By 2021, bwarchitektur had completed planning up to approximately service phase 6. However, planning was halted that year due to unexpected additional costs. A revised plan for the new construction was developed in 2022, reaching service phase 6, while a separate consortium planned the demolition up to service phase 3. In September 2022, based on the updated plan, a funding application was submitted for the new construction and demolition. In August 2023, funding was confirmed by the BBSR. The funding provider has attached conditions to the planning and construction, detailed in the attached funding notice. Key requirements for the planning and execution of this construction task include: • Energy standard according to Efficiency Building 40 as per BEG •
