Building Extension and Renovation Works at Philippe DE GIRARD-SCHUMAN High School in Avignon

This project involves the demolition, restructuring, and extension of the electronic workshops and the relocation of the EMAT (Mobile Technical Assistance Team) facilities at Philippe DE GIRARD-SCHUMAN High School in Avignon. The Electrotechnical Pole was originally set up in two workshops in Building C. Due to an exceptional snow event, one of the workshops suffered structural damage and is no longer usable. The restructuring aims to meet the immediate need for the relocation and consolidation of electrotechnical education within a coherent area. The new workshops will be part of Building C. Buildings C, D, and G are interconnected but separated from Buildings A and E by construction measures. The work includes demolishing the existing electrotechnical workshops and reconstructing them on the same site, creating three new workshops for BTS students, vocational high school students, and CAP students. Additionally, a separate building for the EMAT will be constructed in the southwest part of the campus. During the construction period, two temporary modular workshops will be set up on-site. The project also includes renovations of the fire safety systems in Buildings C, D, and G due to the obsolescence of existing safety equipment. Each group of buildings has its own fire safety system. Renovation work will be conducted alongside the main construction, with the existing fire safety system remaining operational until the new system is commissioned at the end of the project. The consultation is divided into 10 lots: 1. Earthworks and landscaping 2. Demolition, foundations, major works, hard flooring, and tiling 3. Facade treatment, metal roofing, wooden framework, and waterproofing 4. External aluminum joinery, shading, and locksmithing 5. Insulation, partitions, false ceilings, internal joinery, furniture, signage, soft flooring, painting, and cleaning 6. Electricity and fire safety systems 7. Heating, plumbing, sanitation, and compressed air 8. Acquisition and installation of modular buildings 9. Smoke extraction and natural ventilation 10. Construction of racks and furniture installation/moving. Environmental clauses are included in Article 6.3 of the contract specifications. For lots 1-7 and 9, prices are fixed and adjustable. For lots 8 and 10, prices are fixed. The contract duration starts from notification until the end of the warranty period for perfect completion, estimated to be 43 months for all works.
