    Brief

Wokingham Borough Council is seeking an organisation to lead and expand peer-led parent support services across the borough. The successful applicant will deliver Empowering Parents, Empowering Communities (EPEC), an evidence-based programme that trains parents to become lead facilitators, enabling a sustainable model of support delivered by parents for parents. Funding of £300,000 is available over three years. The programme will integrate with Wokingham's Best Start in Life initiative and Family Hub services, complementing existing parent support offered by schools and community organisations. Key requirements include: building collaborative partnerships with borough services, leveraging existing resources, and strengthening community-wide parent support. An information session will be held on 22 October at 12:30pm (virtual and in-person options available). Interested organisations should contact ChildrensCommissioningTeam@wokingham.gov.uk for further details.
