Web Development and Support Services for The Royal Danish Theatre

The Royal Danish Theatre is seeking a supplier to develop a new web platform for managing its websites. This includes creating websites for both the Royal Danish Theatre and a new children's section in Stærekassen. The two sites should share a common theme but have distinct visual identities. The theatre emphasizes the importance of providing an exceptional user experience and aims to leverage data for personalized content delivery. The supplier must have experience in delivering high-quality design and technical solutions. Both websites will need to integrate with the theatre's ticketing system and data integration platform, which includes information about productions, performances, and participants. The supplier will also be responsible for the professional and stable operation and hosting of the websites, ensuring coordinated management of the overall user experience. The Royal Danish Theatre is Denmark's national theatre, offering performing arts in its three venues in Copenhagen: Gamle Scene at Kongens Nytorv, Skuespilhuset, and the Opera House, as well as touring performances across the country. In 2024, the theatre sold 496,999 tickets for its own performances, excluding tours, and produced around 50 unique productions annually, in addition to hosting guest performances and renting out its venues for commercial activities. The theatre employed nearly 1,000 full-time staff in 2024.
