    Brief

HUS is seeking bids for enteral nutrition devices and supplies. The procurement includes patient and professional use feeding tubes and pumps, nutrition tubes delivered through stoma or jejunum, and other related supplies. This is a reissue of a previous request for proposals under the same identifier HUS 194-2024, which was suspended during the bidding period in January 2025. The procurement covers various categories, including: 1A-B. Feeding tubes for pumps and feeding pumps (for both hospital and home use) 2. Gravity feeding tubes 3. Feeding buttons and feeding tubes for feeding buttons 4. Feeding accessories (feeding adapters, measuring sticks, feeding tube clamps, pH indicator strips, drainage bags, etc.) 5. Feeding tubes with balloons 6. PEG initial installation tubes (sets and accessories) 7. PEG tubes for jejunal feeding 8. Various adapters and connectors related to enteral nutrition. Additionally, there is an option to provide supplies related to the administration of Lecigon medication. This procurement is divided into lots. The products and procurement categories are described in detail in the request for proposals and its attachments. Feeding pumps and their related supplies will be procured on a usage compensation basis, see detailed description in the request for proposals and its attachments. The goal is to obtain safe and easy-to-use products through the competition. It is also aimed that the reliability of product delivery is good and that products are available when needed. During the contract period, products belonging to the specified product categories may also be procured that are not specified in the product attachment (see procurement contract). The planned contract period for the procurement is 4 years + indefinite. This is a joint procurement by multiple procurement units, which will be carried out as a procurement ring. The products requested in this request for proposals will be used by: HUS, South Karelia welfare area, Kymenlaakso welfare area, Päijät-Häme welfare area, City of Helsinki, East Uusimaa welfare area, Central Uusimaa welfare area, Vantaa and Kerava welfare area, and West Uusimaa welfare area. See detailed information in the attachments 4a-b Procurement Contract. The estimated total value of the procurement (excluding VAT) is approximately 4,000,000 euros over 48 months. This is an estimate, and the procurement unit is not committed to the stated euro amounts or the consumption amounts indicated in the request for proposals. Final order quantities may be larger or smaller than stated. The procurement unit estimates that about 8% of the total procurement value will be orders from the South Karelia welfare area, about 12% from the Kymenlaakso welfare area, and about 35% from the Päijät-Häme welfare area (non-binding estimate). The remainder of the total value will be distributed among HUS and its member owners. If the current supplier changes as a result of this tender, the Buyer will switch the currently used patient and professional feeding pumps and related feeding tubes as soon as possible after the contract is signed. The procurement unit reserves a total of six (6) months for transition training and pump replacement. During this time, the plan is to transition to using the contract products resulting from this competition. If the supplier changes, the supplier is obliged to assist the Buyer in transferring contractual obligations to the new supplier. As part of the assistance obligation, the Supplier is obliged, at the Buyer's request, to continue delivering goods to the Buyer under the terms of the contract in a reasonable scope requested by the Buyer until the end of the assistance obligation, if the smooth transfer of the contract requires it. The subject of the procurement and its requirements are described in detail in the request for proposals and its attachments.
