Remedial Works at Roman Close

Platform Housing Group is looking for a qualified contractor to perform specialized remedial works at Roman Close in Leintwardine, Herefordshire. This project aims to fix a long-standing design and construction defect affecting several homes, ensuring a permanent solution and restoring the properties to the required standard. The work will involve detailed assessments and interventions based on technical information and specifications provided by Ridge and Partners LLP. Key tasks include opening up structures, making localized structural repairs, strengthening, rebuilding or replacing defective elements, and addressing moisture and thermal bridging issues. The project will also require full internal and external reinstatement, including roofing, wall construction, insulation, damp-proofing, drainage, and necessary repairs to the building fabric. This procurement will follow a JCT Intermediate Contract with Contractor's Design, focusing on the drainage solution and any related temporary or permanent works. Contractors must prepare and submit their design proposals, coordinate with Ridge and Partners LLP, and obtain necessary approvals before construction begins. Given the complexity of the project, contractors must demonstrate experience in managing intricate defect-rectification projects, working safely in occupied residential areas, and effectively coordinating with consultant-led designs and inspection processes. Experience in executing intrusive works in limited domestic settings and maintaining good communication with residents is essential. The selected contractor will need to provide a detailed project schedule, a priced Schedule of Works, and all required documentation with their tender submission. All work must be completed within the agreed timeframe and meet Platform Housing Group's quality, safety, compliance, and reporting standards.
