Modernization of Conveyor System for Underground Mining

This contract involves the modernization of a conveyor system, specifically one unit of the Pioma 1000 type, with a maximum length of 1850 meters and a belt width of 1000 mm. The conveyor is intended for use in underground coal mining operations in areas at risk of methane and coal dust explosions. Key aspects of the modernization include: changing the conveyor's purpose to allow for the transportation of personnel on both the upper and lower belts simultaneously, extending the conveyor's length to a target of 2500 meters, upgrading the control and electrical supply systems for the extended conveyor, integrating the updated conveyor with MINE EYE software, and providing updated technical documentation and compliance declarations for the modified conveyor.
