Commercial Waste Collection, Disposal and Recycling Services for Salisbury City Council

Salisbury City Council is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive Commercial Waste Collection, Disposal and Recycling Services. This new contract will consolidate multiple existing short-term waste management arrangements into a single, integrated service covering collection, transportation, processing, reuse, recycling, and lawful disposal of commercial and municipal waste from Council-managed locations. The contract scope includes: general waste, dry mixed recycling, glass, mixed recyclables, commercial waste, municipal waste, biodegradable waste, and wood waste, with a baseline volume of approximately 313.88 tonnes annually. Key responsibilities include managing green waste from parks and open spaces, spoil tip waste from cemeteries, litter and refuse from street bins (including sweeper waste), and waste from Council buildings and operational sites. This consolidation will deliver greater service consistency, operational efficiency, improved value for money, and full compliance with environmental legislation. The successful contractor will support Salisbury's commitment to maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming public spaces while advancing the Council's long-term sustainability and environmental objectives.
