Legal Services Framework Agreement in Norway

This framework agreement is intended to meet the legal service needs of the contracting authority. The services required may include: • Reviewing legal questions of varying complexity and providing general advice on specific legal issues. • Ensuring the legal quality of documents prepared by the contracting authority and other parties involved. • Providing legal assistance for project accounts and EU-related projects. • Offering support for appeals or disputes, including negotiations and legal procedures. • Conducting internal training sessions, conferences, and seminars. The selected law firm will work closely with various internal resources of the contracting authority, emphasizing the importance of knowledge transfer. Additionally, the firm may be required to conduct internal training sessions upon request. The law firm should have expertise in: • Contract and contract law • Labor law specific to the public sector • Security and privacy regulations • Taxation and duties. There may be occasional needs for assistance in other areas of expertise not listed above. In such cases, the contracting authority can utilize the framework agreement but is not obligated to do so. The contracting authority is not required to procure a fixed volume of legal services, as the demand for services may fluctuate significantly from year to year. Furthermore, the contracting authority is not bound to this contract and may seek legal assistance outside of it if deemed necessary based on the nature, complexity, or other factors related to the assignment.
