Passenger Information System - Procurement of Automatic Passenger Counting Devices for Public Transport Vehicles in St. Wendel District

This contract involves the supply of 107 automatic passenger counting devices, including the associated backend system. Installation and commissioning will take place in 107 vehicles. The detailed technical requirements are defined in the specifications. The goal is to obtain reliable passenger counts to assess transportation demand on the relevant lines. Initially, the passenger counts will be used for planning purposes to evaluate and design the public transport offerings. In the long term, the collected data will be used for revenue sharing and to provide passengers with information about the occupancy of trips for individual travel planning through the schedule information system. Delivery will be based on an 'EVB-IT Purchase Agreement with Maintenance' for the hardware and an 'EVB-IT Transfer Agreement with Care' for the software. All devices are to be delivered by the end of the Christmas holidays 2025/2026. A maintenance and care contract (according to the 'EVB-IT Purchase Agreement with Maintenance' template) will be concluded between the client or the transport company and the contractor, with a term until December 31, 2031.
