    Brief

The contract involves a research project titled 'Pension Security in Germany 2027' (ASID27). The objective is to create a current, representative, and comprehensive database regarding the income situation of individuals aged 60 and above, including their cohabiting partners, for the year 2027. This research project has been conducted every four years since the mid-1980s. Detailed information can be found in the methodology report of the last study, and all previous reports and data tables are available on the BMAS website (www.bmas.de) under publications as PDF files. The project will take place from 2026 to 2029 and consists of two main parts: data collection and data analysis. The data collection phase includes: • Developing a structured survey concept. • Revising questionnaires. • Selecting target individuals aged 60 and above from a sample of addresses provided by local registration offices. • Conducting the survey, data collection, validation, and preparation. • Creating a model for statistical projections of the population aged 85 and above and their income based on available data. • Developing a model for calculating income tax and social security contributions. • Establishing a framework for extrapolation. • Delivering a usable dataset with information on at least 20,000 individuals aged 60 and above and their spouses/partners, resulting in data for approximately 30,000 individuals. • Preparing a methodology report. The data analysis phase includes: • Developing an evaluation and reporting concept. • Submitting reports. Please refer to the attached procurement documents.
