School Refurbishment at Voyage Learning Campus

North Somerset Council is seeking a Principal Contractor to carry out refurbishment works at the Voyage Learning Campus in Weston Super Mare. This project aims to improve the council's Alternative Provision and Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) support services. The scope of work includes: - Phased construction activities - Creation of a new entrance area - Removal of the existing entrance atrium - Construction of two new single-storey classrooms - Light to medium refurbishment tasks - Replacement of the existing roof and installation of two roof lights south of the atrium Refurbishment tasks will involve both light and medium work, such as installing new floor coverings, painting, and relocating some internal walls and partitions. All work must be carefully scheduled around the ongoing school activities to ensure minimal disruption to students and staff receiving SEND support. The project will be managed under the JCT Intermediate Building Contract with Contractor's Design, with an estimated duration of 24 months (including 12 months for defects).
